healthpro Menu Mentoring
Designed and implemented by our professional team of Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI) registered dietitians, healthpro Menu Mentoring provides nutritional analysis expertise to a range of food providers including restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, fast food and retail outlets. The programme encompasses a detailed assessment of ingredients and methods of preparation used to produce each menu item or dish, and subsequent analysis to determine precise nutritional and allergen composition.
Why it was created
Founder and Director of healthpro: Nutrition and Exercise Specialists, Harriette Lynch, designed the Menu Mentoring programme with the aim of making eating outside of the home environment easier for peolple who suffer from food allergies or clinical conditions, and for people who simply want to make informed choices.
In doing so, Harriette also discovered that this process helped food providers to not only comply with increasing legal obligation, but also to boost their revenue.
Labelling your menu
Our expert analysis results in a comprehensively labelled table menu or menu board, using a series of bespoke healthpro Menu Mentoring symbols to give your customers the information they want about each dish. Our symbols clearly indicate energy values, nutritional composition, and the presence or absence of allergens, making it easy for all customers, including those with special requirements such as coeliacs or vegetarians for example, to make a choice that’s right for them.
