Mix things up at breakfast time and try this delicious nutty twist on regular pancakes.
Ingredients
Oats 150 g
Wholewheat Flour 150 g
Baking Soda 5 g
Buttermilk 200 ml
Milk 200 ml
Egg 60 g (1 unit)
Walnuts 20 g
Vegetable Oil 5 ml (1 tsp)
Instructions
1. Blend the oats in a blender or food processor.
2. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients i.e. oats, flour, baking soda.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients, mixing well and then mix the wet ingredients with the dry.
4. Roughly chop the walnuts and mix into the pancake mix.
5. Lightly oil a hot pan and ladle 1/3 cup of the batter onto the hot skillet; cook the pancakes for 2-4 minutes per side, or until brown.
6. Serve warm.
