Melanie Completes Paris 2 Nice and Raises over 10000 Euro for the RNLI

Melanie completes Paris2Nice 2014 and raises valuable funds for the RNLI

Throughout the year we've been charting the progress of another superwoman's quest to fulfil a personal sporting ambition. Melanie McCaughey had been preparing assiduously for her goal to complete the 2014 Paris2Nice cycle challenge and we're delighted to report this month of Mel's success. The above picture reflects Mel's enormous sense of joy and satisfaction on reaching the Promenade d'Anglais in Nice after riding over 700 km through central France and summiting the 'Giant of Provence' - Mount Ventoux - along the way. This acheivement was also accompanied by a huge fundraising drive for Mel's nominated event charity, the RNLI, meaning that her efforts will also assist in the preservation and protection of lives around our coasts.

You can read more about Mel's inspirational journey in a recent feature article on the website her.ie -(http://www.her.ie/health/fitness/from-zero-to-hero-in-less-than-a-year-melanie-mccaughey-explains-how-she-became-an-an-post-cycling-hero/)

All the team at healthpro wish to extend their congratulations and admiration to Mel on this huge achievement. Chappeau Mel!
